Last fall, the souvenir photo album of Colonel Lewis H. Waters, 84th Illinois, was parted out on ebay. Here's a link to a saved collection of scans from that album. Most are of officers and senior NCOs, although there are some interesting shots from around Chattanooga. One image that is not found there is of the original colors of the 84th, nearly destroyed after a year eighteen months of service. I saved a copy of that image, and it is available here.
