    Im doing a project this winter,

    im goin to research all i can, and make a period correct Drumsling by hand.

    this has got to be my Fav. Picture of any drummer during the CW. this is Drummer Gilbert A. Marbury, 22nd New York Infantry

    can anyone tell if his sling is Leather, Oil Cloth, or neither?

      i got this image from Civilwarphotos.net.

      but it also can been seen in either Fighting men of the civil war, or Battlefeilds of the civilwar i cant remember


      also i gotta say, he has one sweet jacket!
