  • Fourth Corps Badge

I would have sold my soul for something like this 20 years ago! This is very rare and a beautiful specimen! I love the T-bar back, and the clamps to hold the colored wool in.

Bill Krohn had one that was simular That I tried for years to get from him. I glad I didn't as he put it in the casket with Mike Singer when he passed.

Third Division too - would have come in handy for last week's LH at Picketts Mill. can't be that hard to reproduce(?).

Tony, good to see you on here. I was sorry to hear of Mike's passing.
I used to own a 20th Corps badge that was consructed the same way as this one, with blue felt in the center cut out. It was identified to a Wisconsin soldier.

          No they are not.

About 7 or 8 years ago someone had a bunch of them on e-bay. Had various corps with cloth and T bar attachment. I heard they came in from Mexico. I have only seen one dug one and the brass was very thin but not as thin as hat brass. I would like to see a documented one. With corps badges one has to be careful since they are being faked and some are post war. The one on this LG&Y is a post war badge. It is one of my first purchases and a lesson learned. Although now $350.00 for a gun with initials and corps badge does not seem like much.

All of a sudden another similar one appears.
