  • SC Confederate Relic Room and Museum - Photographs

These were taken purely to research the uniforms and equipment of South Carolinian enlisted infantrymen/volunteers.

The first series shows uniforms and equipment.

The second part shows period photographs of soldiers, along with some background.

Photos can be founf here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/6639691...7630246311234/.

If you have trouble reading some of the descriptions, just ask me. I know the pictures aren't of the highest quality, but they have definitely given me some ideas on how to improve my impression.

Thanks for the link. What's the story on that Frock with the breast pocket? Looks interesting...

Thanks for sharing Zachary. As Aron asked, what's the story on the frock? Definitely different.

Always good to see the real stuff. The mannequin dressed up with all the gear really helps to visualize too.

        Thanks for posting the pictures.

Point of interest: Battle of Bentonville was in 1865 not 1862. Our historical society has a couple of those snafus too.
