I am currently writing an article on headgear produced by Col. James Y. Davis of Washington, D.C. I am reaching out in hopes you can direct me to an example of a Davis flat brim forage cap and a Davis slouch hat.
I already have two nice examples of Davis forage caps in the McDowell style, a Davis chasseur cap, and a Davis top hat, but lack photos, or even certainty of the production by Davis, of flat brim forage caps and slouch hats.
Any photographs or other assistance rendered will be appreciated and credited in the article.
