Hi I’m reaserching 79th New York
stuff and am lost as to how they were equipped post 1863 I am certain they had state issue jackets or fatigue blouses and sky blues but did they retain trews or Glengarrys into the later periods of the war? Im pretty sure they were pretty much standardized weapon and accoutrement wise and
also did there early 1816s and 42s smoothbore muskets get retained? Like 5th companies Enfields? or did they issue out new rifles muskets? Same with cartridge boxes I know bull run era and before uniforms and equipment and Antietam but Beaufort South Carolina I’m lost on shoot me a message
