I've been doing some research on my family and I came across this photo from the Civil War.

Do you think it's a Confederate soldier ?

Moderator note : To curtail spammers, posts by brand new members must be approved by a moderator. Also, pictures cannot be posted until a certain number of posts have been published by a new member. Being this new member's first post, the intended photograph isn't going to appear here.

If the photo was found online, a link to the photo's source would suffice, but the post would only appear after a moderator approves the new member's next post.

Even with these safeguards, there have been quite a few spammers who get their posts published. Thankfully, the posts have a short life span. Once a moderator notices a spammy post or is alerted by other members about same, the post gets removed and the spammer perma banned.
