Has anyone seen the McRae papers having to do with the import of English Arms into the Confederacy? I have an iron mounted 1856 Bar on Band Enfield rifle and I was wondering what the chances are that they might give some indication of what brigade or regiment it ended up in. I wouldn’t mind going through the trouble of going to SC and digging if I knew there would be a decent chance of finding anything. Thanks for any help.
