  • Death by sutler's pie - will his mother get his pension?

A lot of power for one man to hold in his hands - read on to see if Bussey allows the mother of the man who died by pie to receive his pension.

Re: Death by sutler's pie - will his widow get a pension?

"Death by Pie" wouldn't be so bad- I could think of worse ways to go.

Mr. Sorchy's rhubarb pie was so good at Outpost, I could have died for it. Well worth being a Yankee for it! :p

If this would have happened in today's Army, the soldier's family would have sued the government for his pension and 60 Minutes would have done a documentary about how our soldiers are dying from inferior food sold to them by the unscrupulous managers at the PX. Think of it: "I'm Morley Safer... Who is poisioning our soldiers on the front in Northern Virginia? Tonight on 60 Minutes".

    Click-click-click, etc.

C'mon, give the guy his pension without a fight...
