  • RICHMOND DEPOT JACKETS: CHARACTERISTICS, ANOMOLIES, and MYTHS

Morning Folks! The Liberty Rifles website just posted a HUGE new research article by Dr. Dick Milstead that compares the details of FIFTEEN original Richmond jackets! This has been an expansive project of his, and we've got it online and loaded with tons of high-res photos. MANY THANKS to Dick for this article, it's pretty monumental and I think it's a massive aid for anyone looking for info on Richmond jackets.

There's a main page with a Forward, then the article is in 3 parts. This is pretty image heavy, soooo if you're on a phone somewhere, I hope you've got unlimited data!!!!

    Members of the AC Forum,

I hope that you find this presentation informative if not educational. It is the result of 5 years of research into RD products and the operations of the Richmond Clothing Bureau.

Informative? Heck its groundbreaking - on the same level with Waldon, Adolphus and Jensen. Outstanding work!!!!

Phenomenal research Dick - thank you for sharing! Can't wait to have the time to pour over it in great detail. I just so happen to be midway through the finishing work on a new RDII and was thrilled to be able to compare my stitching to the originals.
