  • mattress tick !

    does anyone use or have used a mattress tick,for comfort??.If so who could you recommend as the best supplier of them,or better anyone have a pattern and recommendations for types of material to use to make one ????

    Try a search for mattress tick. There was a good bully buy on here in Jan 08 by Justin Runyon. You should turn up something in the search.

      I made my own with material I got from a local fabric store. The material was 100% cotton ticking, so it's pretty authentic, and cost around $30. I just sewed the two halves together and put tin buttons at one end. Stuff it full of straw, and you have sleeping comfort. I use mine at events at the local fort where the men would have had them.
