  • Federal Issue Contract Shirt Pattern Help

Can anyone direct me to where i can purchase a federal issue contract shirt pattern? I am looking for a contract shirt w/ the pocket on the left breast. i can find patterns w/o the pocket but i would like the one w/ the pocket. i am planning to work on sewing a shirt and can't this pattern. i am not sure what kind of contract shirt you would call this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This shirt is often called the contract variant shirt and is made by a variety of quality vendors, but I have yet to see a commercial pattern available for this shirt. If you have a little skill in taking measurements and a knowledge of square cut shirts, you can find a nice rendering of one of the several known variant shirts on page 51 of the Columbia Rifles Research Compendium (Vol II) and produce it without a pattern.
