When viewing original belts, for the purpose of this thread i am princibly talking about confederate belts. Are the edges dyed after the cutting process, as this would require dye to be used by the manufacturer of the belting after cutting or are the edges left undyed .
It is something i find hard to determine from images of originals i know this covers a wide range of belts used but i believe it to be a interesting aspect to the manufacture of belting .
My first preference was to the common roller buckle belt then the other types used.
