    Just got a pair of Land brogans a couple of months ago and the size was dead on, no adjustment necessary. I will say that the leather was like sheet iron right out of the box. I've worn them around the house a few times to loosen them up, although I still need to do it a bit more.

      I have to agree with the soaking and wearing until dry method. Every pair of boots I've had in the last 5+ years (leg boots, jungle boots, jump boots, etc) have all recieved this treatment. As for my bootees, though, I've never intentionally broken them in. I've just thrown them on and moved out smartly. Then again I do wear one pair until they can no longer be called shoes. Just my two cents.
