The most common source for leather in the U.S. is probably Tandy Leather

Herman Oak is an excellent choice of leather. http://www.hermannoakleather.com/

They are not for the casual user, you will have to buy a minimum number of sides.

Wickett&Craig Tanners has a division called the tannery warehouse . They sell one side at a time. The phone number is 1-800-tannery.

          Re: source for good leather

          Great suggestions,

I'd also suggest checking out Weaver Leather who also sells Hermann Oak leather one side at a time. They have an excellent customer service department along with being able to run wholesale accounts. Likewise, they offer a full line of tools, hardware (some better than others), etc.

          Try them at: www.leathersupply.com
or: 1-800-932-8371 for customer service/catalog ordering

          Hope this helps.

          Regards & good hunting!
