Hey Folks.
Been out of reenacting for a while, started in Michigan but recently moved to Florida. My beautiful wife (who is currently reading over my shoulder) is currently a 7th grade teacher in Tampa. She is teaching American history this next year and was looking for info on living history museums and farmsteads in Florida.
She's mainly looking for sites that wouldn't just be passive but actually let the kids get their hands dirty. She would mainly be interested in central Florida sites, but any info for Florida in general would be helpful. Sites could range from homesteads or farms to Seminole camps and the like. We'd be looking for anything from early Florida settlements to circa World War II.
Thanks for your help everybody.
