Gentlemen,
On Saturday September 25th Mr. J.R. “Butch” Myers will present “Gearing Up for War: CS and US Accoutrements in the Early Days of the American Civil War." Myers has been meticulously studying the minutiae of the war for more than 35 years and has a reputation for constructing some of the most accurate reproductions available. Through images, drawings, demonstrations, and sketches, Mr. Myers will give a first hand look at how the fledgling CS Government developed and built the equipment for use by her soldiers in 1861. The program will be held at the Old Manassas Courthouse located at 9248 Lee Avenue, Manassas, VA 20109 at 2:00 p.m. A suggested donation of $5.00 per person is most appreciated.
