Hi, I do know what I am about to ask is a stupid question but at this point I do need help. After many weeks research on a Federal Regiment, going through Regimental histories, to find a regiment that did serve at Fredricksburg, and the Western Theater, Shiloh preferably, and the Atlanta Campaign. If there are any. Much appreciated. I do realize that Fredricksburg was in the end of 1862 and Shiloh only a few months before. Thank you.

Re: Federal Unit
AoP Order of Battle at Fredericksburg
Army of the Ohio/Tennessee Order of Battle at Shiloh
Do a page search. What branch of service are you specifically looking for? My guess is that you probably won't have any luck because once units were brigaded, they did not leave theater much unless it was a large-scale move. Something like Longstreet getting sent to Chickamuaga, or Joe Hooker getting sent to Chattanooga.Last edited by MarkTK36thIL; 12-22-2011, 01:50 PM.Mark Krausz

Re: Federal Unit
Only one eastern Federal infantry regiment at Shiloh, the 77th PA. It served in the Army of the Ohio and later the Army of the Cumberland.
Pennsylvania only had one regiment represented at Shiloh, in fact this is the only Eastern regiment at Shiloh. It was part of Buell's army ...
The 77th's monument is located on the Review Field.
