Knapsack strap placement

I recently got a Kibbler knapsack, and being a small person, whenever I put it on the straps hang very far down. Because of the placement of the buckles, I can't double the straps over. I've been looking around, and haven't been able to find much. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Is there a documented solution? Thanks for any help
