  • 19th Century Snuff

I've done searches on this board and others regarding snuff use. I have found lots of information on the who, what, where, when, etc. The one thing I cannot seem to find is a description of period snuff. Is 19th century snuff similar in appearance to modern snuff (i.e. skoal, etc. fine or longcut)? I wouldnt have thought it would be that hard to find, but I am apparantly missing something in my searches.

look for nasal snuff (dry)...dipping snuff is the moist kind.
