  • Perdersoli Mississippi or Blockade Mississippi ?

I was wondering if anybody has personally looked at or handled the misssissippi rifles now offered by Pedersoli?
Specifically I'd like to know if they have made any improvements or if it's just a Euroarms copy with no improvements like all their other "new" guns.
As I can't seem to find a used Zoli Mississippi, ( my preferance) I'm now considering either a Pedersoli or the defarbed Miss. offered by Blockaderunner. I'm gussing the Blockade runners are Euroarms?? Can anyone confirm that?

If anyone knows of another Source for an authintic Mississippi, please let me know.

I'm not sure if Pedersoli has released the Mississippi yet, if not, it may be worth waiting on if they use american black walnut for the stock. Just about everything else can be fixed or made more correct. Just my opinion.

Blockade Runners would be Armi Sports. Have not seen the Pedersoli 1841 yet and it you regularly check Lodgewood Manufacturing's website or the NS-SA boards, you will most certainly find a Zoli.

I have seen Todd Watts "defarbed" Miss. It is pretty awesome and would probably do you better than an "off the rack" Zoli.

I have recently had 2 new Pedersollit MS rifles come to me to be defarbbed. The wood to metal fit is worse than the old Euro version which they supposedly bought out. On one the nipple angle is so far back that the hammer only touches the forward edge of the nipple, which will make it more proned to missfires but otherwise is not an issue. However, I had a tough time removing the cone on that one because of the angle that placed the shoulder of the cone too close to the cone seat / barrel. They did make a good looking lock and the wood is good looking except the finish is some sort of polyeurethane I think. I just hope my advice to Armi is taken seriously by them and they drop that Zuove and replace it with a good MS rifle so we have an option.

I heard today from Chiappa Firearms and they are re-tooling now using my defarbbed stock blank as their new Enfield stock master and production of these will start in April.

I was lucky enough to get a '53 Enfield from Cabelas before they were gone. Saturday, at a gunshow, I saw a Mississippi rifle in about new condition for $300. It is a Replica Arms version. Needless to say, it is now mine. A very nice rifle.

Lodgewood has a decent price on a project miss. Needs some parts and fitting. Would make a real nice rifle though.
