  • Where Authentically Should an Officer's Sword Belt Sit?

Friends, where authentically should an officer's sword belt sit around one's waist/hip. In other words, what is the rule of thumb for the belt to rest above the bellybutton?

    Many thanks,

    Bob

    Hallo!

In brief and to over generalize...

The belt bottom edge rides on the tops of the two rear coat buttons, which is NUG where the body and skirts are joined. Which in a properly patterned, tailored, and historically correct garment would be roughly around one's "natural waist' or "navel line."

    The same as the waistbelt.

Peek at the image of three lieutenants and decide for yourself.
