Folks, I am about to begin a new sewing project that will have a quilted lining. My question for you is this. When I cut the batting, do I cut it to the same size as the lining? Or do I cut it a half inch shorter so it is even with the seam? The latter of the two is what makes sense to me; otherwise it seems that the jacket facings will be too thick at the edges.
