Any info on what bayonet would fit the new Pedersoli 1853 3 band musket. I see Blockade Runner offers 2 Enfield bayonets designed for the armi sport and euroarms muskets. I appreciate any input.

Re: bayonet for the new pedersoli 1853 musket
I would be especially curious if original bayonets would fit. My hunch is that, since originals fit on Parker Hale and Euroarms Enfields, they probably fit on the new Pedersoli's.
However, its always a good idea to have your musket with you to check bayonets for fit before making a purchase.John Wickett

I agree with Wick and was going to suggest same. I use originals on all of my muskets and it makes a difference.
Repro bayonets are not nearly as good as originals and these can be obtained for reasonable prices on eBay and Lodgewood to name a few. Fitting can be accomplished with some elbow grease and patience without destroying your investment, but having the musket with you at a show to fit different bayonets will likely yield one that fits without alteration.Ivan Ingraham

Enfield bayonets are tough. Unlike the American weapons, individual bayonets were fitted to individual rifles. If you don't find a bayonet that fits well, it will tear up the bluing on your rifle's barrel. I own an original Enfield rifle and it took me years to find a bayonet that fit well, without a lot of "wobble".Bill Rodman, King of Prussia, PA
