  • Good Events?

I am relatively new to reenacting, and am just now starting to move away from the "mainstream" things. I was wondering if anyone could list good events to go to, as well as your favorites? I don't know what specific events would be considered "campaign" events or "mainstream" (although I know why they are different). A list would be great, location of events is not important (as long as it's in the US obviously).

    Cheers!

    Re: Good Events?

    Ben,

Welcome to the forum. Check out the events section here on the AC. There are a number of events on there and I'm sure there will more posted in the future. The EBUFU events ( events by us, for us) are those put together by campaigners for campaigners. The adjuncts are usually a campaigner contingent taking part in a more mainstream event. These are for fellows who want to take part in a particular event due to the size, historical background, place etc. but they also want to do it with like-minded reenactors and try to have a more authentic experience.

There are a number of most excellent events that will be coming up in the future so be sure to check out that section on here and see what might appeal to you.

      Hello, sir... mod here:

Take a gander at this event thread above and see some of the events there. This is where all pertinent information is regarding authentic events is located on this forum. I have also moved this thread to our Camp of Instruction area for newcomers. You can post there and get the beginner information you need regarding these events. Thanks and happy perusing of the forums!
