I have been searching for some time trying to find German commands. Any help would be great. Thanks

    Re: German Napoleonic Commands

Have you tried searching out any groups in Germany?

If not, the chaps of the King's German Legion are worth a try, http://www.kgl.info

However, if you are interested in the commands that might have been used in German speaking units in the American Civil War then a mid nineteenth century group might be more useful. In which case try Grenadier-Regiment 'König Friedrich I', who are best reached via facebook.

      Re: German Napoleonic Commands

The drill book used by the Sleswig-Holstein rebels in 1849.
(in 1848 they used the same drill as the danish army, just with German commands. In 1849 they got this drill book.)

Compared to US/CSA drill books I will imaging that it have a good deal more about fighting in a heavy skirmish line...(but Since by german is very bad I got no clear idea how different it is)
