    Gents,
I'm looking for recruiting and re-enlisting forms. I've
looked, but all I found has been posters. Your help is greatly
    appreciated.

    First, try Sullivan Press.

Also, look at the regulations on-line at http://www.hti.umich.edu/cgi/b/bib/bibperm?q1=aGY4285
The regs have the forms, the procedures, and a discussion of the work of the recruitment service.

You can also reach that site through the Drill Network at http://home.att.net/~Cap1MD/Drill.htm

If you want to do a recruitment scenario, you'll want to read accounts of the enlistment process from actual participants (starting with Hindman and Billings) in order to put the Regs in perspective.

    Good luck.

      Re: Recruitment paperwork

What is it that you want to do?

Are you simply re-enlisting veterans, or are you running a full-fledged recruiting office scenario?

There are many forms involved in the process of turning a citizen into a soldier. A few are:

      Enlistment form
      Surgeon's certificate of Soundness
      Muster-In Roll
      Form for Issuing Ordnance Stores

The recruiting manual (yes, there was one) lists all the forms that a recruiting office should have, and the regulations list all the other stuff an office should have (down to the pencils). I don't have the recruiting manual in front of me right now, but I'll dig it out and get all the forms if that's what you would like.

        Bob,
I'm going to a small event, and thought it would be a little
different to do this type of scenario. I don't think I should
get too involved in having to fill out twenty forms. Is there
a basic muster in form ? Ithink that would get the job done.
What do you think ? Thanks again to all.

Sir, with all do respect, what's the point of doing this, or anything else for that matter, if you are only going to half-arse it or do just enough to get by? :confused_

If you are truely serious about putting on a recruitment scenario then take the time and effort to do it as best as you can. Short-cuts and short-changes make such attempts worthless. Sometimes, living historians fail to see the process that makes an experience. :wink_smil

            Gentlemen,
You are correct, that was my mistake. Half-Arsed
only gets half the job done. So, how do I go about getting
copies of these forms ? I tried some of the suggested sites
and nothing comes up. Can I purchase copies from somewhere?
Thanks again for the honesty and help.

              Re: Recruitment paperwork

I have a dumb question. Which section (or pages) is that in? I tried wading through it this afternoon but ended up getting sidetracked (discovery learning?).

                Comrade,

I would suggest that you get in contact with Mr. Bob Sullivan(from above in this thread). owner@sullivanpress.com

He should be able to put together some documents for you from www.sullivanpress.com
