Some of the uniform questions asked recently can be asnwered with some pretty basic research. To help out some of the people I have posted the following links. They cover some eastern and some western, and discuss uniform materials. Research is fun, give it a try.
From our friends in the Stomewall Brigade
A must for mid to late war AoT impressions
This should be required for every begining reenactor
Another great article from the Stonewall Brigade
Those Stonewall guys really know their stuff!
All these articles show up in a Yahoo search in a matter of minutes, with very little work. And there are more out there. Your local library probably has dozens of books filled with information (I know mine does). If you live near a universtiy (like the one I attend) their libraries are usually imense. And never forget interlibrary loan. Almost any book can be obtained through your local library. If you would rather own the book instead of just reading it (like I would) check out Amazon.com. Great books can often be had at a fraction of their usual cost. I know time is an issue for some of us. I attend college full time, have a wonderful girlfriend, and work. But it doesn't take days, just an hour or two here and there. Trust me, finding the information yourself is much more rewarding than having someone spoon feed it to you. Have fun researching!
