hello, I am in the process of making a magnolia flag for my unit, I was wondering if anyone out there could point me in the direction of a book with the dimensions or could tell them here on the forum. I have gone through the search function and have gotten nothing useful. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Re: magnolia flag help
Well, looks like the system lost my links to the Hardcase boys since the last breakdown, gotta stop being so busy in my office. Like the updated format, good job.
This will only add to the great post already provided.
In the opening of Gods and Generals you may notice the Mississippi magnolia flag flying, very beautiful with the magnolia very well done. There were two versions, one without the red slash the other with it. If you have ever had a chance to see these fly on a battlefield as I have they look very good.

Re: magnolia flag help
You might want to consider making an appt. with the curator at the MS. Dept. of Archives and History. The have a state flag variant that was carried by Wirt Adam's cavalry. At least you could get an idea on the hoist and fly. If I remember correctly, it was not "cavalry" sized flag. May not be the correct exact size but would come closer, I believe than just making one up. I was allowed to see all the flags and actually examine the Columbus Depot jacket thay have.
