  • RD III buttons

Were Federal eagle buttons still common on Richmond Depot III jackets that were issued by late 64 early 65?

Or would Block I's be the better choice for a late war ANV impression?

Jim and I have looked at pics of soldiers at Petersburg and they had eagle buttons on their coats. I use to have solid block I s on my type three, but I changed them to eagle buttons.

Its amazing to me the Confederate depots were able to obtain and keep in stock Federal buttons well into 1865.

By the way Jim I really enjoyed your site!

          Thanks Chris Lane
