Take care when using EOG as a reference I know of several items that are reproductions made by men in the 1970's and 80's.
Due dilligence....verify.

Which items are you referring to? I have gotten used to ignoring the text of EOG, but I have not heard anyone mention repro items being misrepresented as original. I see enough of that at the antique stores in our area, who needs it in our books. Thomas N. Rachal

That's okay. For a real vision test, see if you can find the 1950s vintage live bait box image in the fairly recent Collecting the Confederacy book. It's a scream.

Are you referring to page 82 where the author writes "The [cap] box shown here is made entirely of tin."?
