Okay, maybe this is not appropriate for Camp of Instruction, but I'll ask here anyways. Having examined period accounts, using the search function, any all manner of other devious methods have not yielded an answer. How were accouterments (leathers, haversacks, knapsacks) packaged as they came from the factory? One would think bales, like uniforms, but they obviously wouldn't be compressed. The only reference I have ever heard was someone dicussing purchasing knapsacks in bales from Bannermans. Nothing else, anyone have any input?
Thanks,
Mike Pearson
