  • Making a confederate kepi

    Hey List,
I'm just getting started on my confederate outfit and since I have reenacted the revolutionary war for a few years I have gotten use to making most of my own stuff. So I have all the materials for a Confederate kepi on the way form Ben Tart(jean wool) and plan on making the rest of it as well. any tips or pointers would be great. If someone could e-mail me pictures of their kepi so I can see the basic construction that would be great!
    Thanks,
    Wade

I would suggest you find an original somewhere. I know there are some measurements in the Confederate Sketch book also. Maybe contact a museum or someone with a private collection and ask for a few detailed photos. I am not saying they will give you anything, but its worth a shot.

    Hope this helps.
