I am looking for a book that would deal specifically with the militia units in the state of Louisiana during the war.

I understand that you are looking specifically for militias, but you may find Arthur Bergeron's "Guide to Louisiana Confederate Military Units" to be helpful. It deals mostly with regular Pelican State outfits, but has quite a bit of info on militias, also.Chad Teasley
