Need a contact in San Antonio 19 May-4 Aug 09

Gents-

I will be at Air Force Logistics school from 19 May to 4 Aug 09 at Lackland AFB. Are there any weekend events (quality or otherwise) planned that I might be able to join-in on for about a day or so in the area? I'll have my personal vehicle, weekends off and can bring my blue kit (can be a western or eastern Fed) or grey kit (my grey kit is mostly ANV-specific, so for any Texan impressions borrowing might be in-order).

I don't want to bring my kit without knowing about contacts in the area first, mostly due to baggage space concerns.

Let me know via PM/post if you have any notions and we can talk from there.

Mr. Lloyd,

Not sure how much leeway your schedule allows, but if you can make it to Texas before the 14th of May, the Texas Rifles (www.texasrifles.org) are hosting the TR Outpost '09 near Lovelady, TX on May 15th-17th. Several members of the 6th Texas "Alamo Guards" (www.6thtx.org) will be there along with fellas from the 1st and 9th Texas and hopefully some of the Ground Hornets. If you get anywhere near Houston during your stay in Texas please feel free to contact me and I'll introduce you to some fine Texas liquid refreshments.

We will indeed be well represented at the May 17th weekend Outpost event sponsored by our pals, "The Texas Rifles." I encourage you to start your Texas reenacting with that immersion campaign event. You can register via the The Texas Rifles website. There's ample room for blue and gray participants.

Gents:

Now in sunny San Antonio until Aug 4th. I have my musket and both blue and grey kits (as well as weekends off). :D

Boy, it's God's country here. Jenny and I have discussed it and we might just eventually come here to stay once there is a job for me here. ;)

If there is an event from now until Aug 4th within driving range of San Antonio, please keep me in the loop. I'll be PM-ing ya'll that replied to this too.
