I am moving (PCS'ing) to Fort Leonard Wood on 14AUG. I have federal infantry gear only at the moment, but willing to expand my clothing line into Confederate or Civilian.
Hi Tim and welcome.
You will want to check out the Missouri Civil War Reenactors' Association. They have guidelines and links to units that you might consider joining. They can be found here: http://www.mcwra.org/
Good luck, and see you in the field.

There are also a number of authentic groups within the state. Send me a PM with the type of outfit you are wanting to hook up with and I can give you whatever I know.
There are several of us in OK and SW Mo and NW Ark trying to get an authentic group with the Federal impression of the 24th MO IN (US) off the ground. Among the group is myself as retired Army and an AF guy who are south, but most are from the Tulsa to Springfield, MO area. Cal Kinzer is the founder/president more or less. There are 6-8 guys on this forum who have committed to participate already. Several are going to Wilson's Creek with the 1st Iowa impression.

I'm also moving back near Fort Lost in the Woods in June as i grew up there on 50 Colier Street (to those who know where that's at) and I have found an Irish unit the 7th and 30th Vol. Inf. (seems interesting) may highly consider joining. Would anyone know anything about them (aside from basic history and whatnot. That I could find on their website but not in detail descriptions)?

Hi Frank...
YOu mention you are preparing an impression of the 1st Iowa for Wilson's Creek! Wonderful! So how are the gray overshirts coming along:)
I remember when group of fellas out of Detroit worked up this impression about 10yrs. ago. They looked great!
Ilook forward to being there, hope to see my Iowa men :)
