Here is an image from the 24th Missouri at last week's 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Prairie Grove, Arkansas. This company is an experienced and versatile group, led by longtime living historian Cal Kinzer out of Oklahoma. Our 1st Sergeant, Frank Siltman, is a real-world retired US Army Colonel of Artillery. Our 2nd Sergeant, Mark Vlahos, is a retired Air Force Colonel who commanded a C-130 aircraft squadron. Our ranks are filled with veterans of the hobby, and are often frequented by likewise re-enactors who need a home for an event their own units do not attend. If you look closely at the attached pic, you can see guys like Tom Ezell and Sean Harla in our ranks.

We are a Trans-Mississippi based unit, with members residing in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. We are a member of the Frontier Battalion, and have loose associations with groups such as The Holmes Brigade, The Hairy Nation Boys, and the AOP.

The 24th MO and Holmes Brigade are doing a Living History this coming April at FT. Scott! Anyone looking for western Federal units in the area, this is a great opportunity to fall in with two great units and scout out authentic options in the area, while taking part in a great Living History at a Great Location and have a laid back environment to get to know the men in the units. We would love to have you fall in with us! Check out our website at 24thmissouri.org for a list of events.
