I'm interested in seeing if there are any authentic units in Indiana or western Ohio. Any 19th IN Iron Brigade authetic units?

Hey! I see no one replied to you. I will say, If you want to do an authentic Iron Brigade impression, You can always fall in with the 24th Missouri and Holmes Brigade at Gettysburg this year! We are a company with Murrays Brigade doing the 24th MI.

Hi, Grayfox! There is a company of the 19th Indiana headquartered somewhere in Indiana, but I cannot tell you where at the moment. I am a member of a unit that had a relationship with the 19th on several documented occasions during the war - Brawner Farm and Sharpsburg, just to name two. I am speaking of the 4th Virginia Infantry of the Stonewall Brigade. We portray the Liberty Hall Volunteers (the Washington College Company) and have been headquartered in Indianapolis since 1971. To stretch the relationship a bit, in my field desk is a copy of US Army Regulations that came from the Solomon Meredith GAR Post in Campbridge City, IN that is believed to be Col. Meredith's personal copy. I cannot absolutely document that fact, but it's fun to speculate about the possibility. Anyway, if you are interested in a unit that works at historical accuracy, I invite you to check us out. If you provide me with some contact information, I will be happy to send some information about us to you for review. You can also check our website at 4thvirginia.com. If provided your contact information I will try to locate the 19th HQ for you and let them know of your interest.

My poor Hoosier state has been bled of many of her Authentic's these last 5 years! Those who remain are too old, tired, busy, or burnt out. I'm holding on by a thread... HA-HA
