I just wanted to let folks know that SCAR has an all new website! We have added tons of new photos ranging from the very early days of SCAR in 2000 all the way up to Sailors Creek. Members and friends of SCAR:

2019 has been an awesome ride for us here in SCAR. Along with meeting new friends and making new connections to build bigger and better events with, we have refocused our efforts to better serve the authentic War Between the States hobbyist community needs.

2 Featured events for 2020-

1) Drill/Living History event "No Escape from Excellent Gunnery" event at Ft. McAlister State Park on April 3-5, 2020. It will be a great time!

2) Also, SCAR will be sponsoring a CS company at Pickett's Mill 2020 Event 29-31 May in Dallas, Georgia at Pickett's Mill Battlefield. (MAX SCAR and SCAR Friends EFFORT- we will have a yearly business meeting here to plan the 2021 event schedule)

Members and Friends of the Coalition:


First: We hope 2021 has so far been a better year than 2020 was! May God continue to bless you and your families in this New Year of 2021.

But, 2020 was not just a challenging year personally and professionally for many people, but it also was a challenge for those of us in the authentic living history hobby. Masks, closed parks, and social distancing don’t generally play well with 19^th Century living history (or any social event for that matter).

However, in 2021, we can start off on the right foot! Below are the list of supported/general interest events as voted upon by the SCAR Voting Group and voiced by the group as generally interested in attending. The list deals with 2021 events only, but will be updated periodically with new developments, so check out the events tab frequently.

As one can see, we have quite a few events to attend this coming year, so don’t be shy and REGISTER for the events and companies at the links listed for each event.

As always: Rides and gear loan can be worked out with the points-of-contact for the event, so don’t worry about that. Just bring your great attitude, your best kit, and your willingness to have fun.
