Looking for a Unit in the Coastal GA/SC Area

Gents,
I am looking for an authentic unit in the Coastal Georgia/South Carolina/Northern Florida area. I have just returned from 3 years of being posted in Japan with the Marine Corps and am looking to get back into the hobby. I live in the South-East corner of Georgia (about 40 mins north of Jacksonville FL, and 3ish hours south of Charleston, SC). I primarily do, and am interested in, Confederate impressions, but am looking to get into Federal impressions as well - I simply haven't built one yet. Thanks.

The Palmetto Guard and SCAR (Southeast Coalition of Authentic Reenactors) come immediately to mind.

I am in the Augusta, GA area. I only go to a few events each year, but am happy to answer any questions you have and get you pointed in the right direction.

Widow Makers Mess and Red Clay Volunteers are in the area. The Widow Makers Mess had it home base at Fort McAllister in Richmond Hill

Jordan is good guy to get involved with at Fort McAllister. It isn't too far from Savannah. He is hosting a CS living history this November at the fort as well. Also, my group, The Armory Guards is based out of Georgia and has a high campaigner standard, and large presence within Georgia.
