My name is Jimmy Bolf and I am wondering if their any civil war groups in Northern Illinois or in Illinois in general. I am 17 years old and I am a person that has an interest in America past especially the civil war and also an interest in military history. If you are looking for a authentic Union infantry group in northern Illinois, I can think of none better than the 36th. I was part of the 74th Ill V. Co. D throughout the 90's and we fell in with them quite a bit. I am from Rockford, if I can be of any help please message me.
