A Noob Looking to Move Up

Hello AC users,

I'm not sure what to put in here, I really want to be able to move my impression and experience forwards from my current, rather farby unit. Are there any units in Texas looking to bring someone in for an event? I'm 17 and own a little bit of gear, but I'm not at all confident in my impression. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated!

What in particular are you wishing to portray?
You looking at Federal, Confederate, Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery? There are plenty of good folk in the State who would be able to help you out, give us some ideas at to what you are interested in.

If you have a FB account/page, that is where a lot of information is being bantered about, might give that a try on the AC Facebook page. We need more young folk in this hobby to replace us FOG's!

Currently I'm in confederate dismounted. But I don't care which side I portray. I'd like to do infantry or cavalry (but I don't know how to ride a horse)
