  • Accoutrements suggestions

    Hi all,

I'm getting back into Cav a little (few times a year) and putting my kit back together. I'm looking for suggestions on good vendors to go with for the accoutrements. Being an infantryman, I already am set on haversack and canteen. I need good sources for the sword belt, holster (have a 1851 navy), and cartridge box for Sharps. I want it to be much more progressive than last time.

    Thanks for the help.

Moderator, I put it here because of cavalry. Move it if you see fit.

    Cheers,
    Will Eichler

    Re: Accoutrements suggestions

I would suggest Butch Myers or Don Smith. I don't have Butch's contact info handy but I am sure someone does. Don, the former operator of the Trans-Mississippi Depot Co., is still making items on the side so expect await. He does great work and is worth waiting on. You can contact him via email at drsmith4895@earthlink.net
