CS Cavalry Spur

Over the weekend, I picked up this spur at the relic show held in Dalton, GA. It was listed as a CS spur. It has no markings on it, and I was wanting to know if this is indeed a CS made spur. It certainly looks like none of the US issued spurs that I have seen.

don't think this was Confederate, maybe civilian but not even sure it's period. Just can't see enough in the pic.
