Re: saddle tree sources
It's a little of both. Coley said that design fit a bunch of horses that they tried them on, don't know what breed they were, I presume TWH's. Woodrow is very thick, and flat across the top. None of my 3 saddles fit him "right". I might go to the Westville event this weekend in western Georgia, and am looking at Brice's crossroads, but only speculatively.Just a private soldier trying to make a difference

Re: saddle tree sources
I have , as stated before, a new Texas tree for sale. Has a good big low horn on it and a low cantle, This is a good period tree, $300. Also, have a civilian style saddle, original, good look, full pommel, stuffed canvas panel underneath. Needs a little work, patch the panel and new billets, it could be workable, $75. Also have an original Texas saddle someone reworked, they put on a small horn and sheepskin under like a modern western. The seat is quilted with high cantle, square skirts in back under a rounded skirt. I would re-rig it, $100.
