  • J T Hawkins

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, so I apologise in advance.

I came across the attached photo in an Osprey book entitled 'Confederate Cavalryman 1861 - 65', by Philip Katcher.

The caption below the picture reads:

Private J.T. Hawkins, 5th Kentucky Cavalry.........(John Sickles collection)

I have been doing a lot of research to try to validate this, but unsuccesfully. Does anyone here know of this photo or if it is as early as it states?.

    Thanks

    Re: J T Hawkins

It is also in Photographs of American Civil War Cavalrymen by Museum Restoration Services. This paperback book identifies the subject as J.T. Hawkins and states that he was with Morgan but gives no regimental designation.
