I have an 1859 with the ink sub-inspector stamp about 75% present. Of course one of the things worn off on the stamp is the last digit in 186?, though the saddle has the typical 1863 indicators and C.Prudden was the maker.
So my question is whether there is anybody who can point me to a resource which has the saddle sub-inspectors for 1863-1864. I can say that the stamp does not read Booth, because that much is visible. Seems to read Dodden???, I cannot say for certain.
Lucky me, the pertinent information is what has been worn. I can send pictures to anybody who has knowledge of saddle sub-inspectors, if that may help.
Thank You in advance.
