  • CS Jenifer, Richmond Arsenal Officer's model, Clarksville product, (sold at auction....)

    For those craving CS Jenifers......
Here's a nice Richmond Arsenal made (Clarksville no doubt) Jenifer officer's model that sold at auction today for $2,750. Isn't it strange a far more rare saddle sold for less than a Federal Mac. Course, the Fed. mac was i.d.'d to the 1st Main and with some nice docs.....and, this saddle has some significant rodent damage. Still, Federal saddles are everywhere and CS Jenifers rarely come out of the wood pile.
I am not sure how many CS Jennies are out there now in the public record, I'd have to count em up but it is certainly less that 20.
    Anyway, cool stuff!!

    Ken,

This is really something! And at an amazingly low price, too. Any idea as to who owned this Jennie or to where it was found?

    thanks for showing us these.
