  • Fort A.P.Hill, Virginai & Washington-Rochambeaux Line

I'm wanting to coordinate horseback rides for historical minded youngsters in northern Virginia. Not just the Washington-Rochambeaux Line, but Civil War sites as well.

Two or three 14 to 16 year olds. Twice a year for several years. Good horseback riders. Familar with uniforms and equipment and 19th century combined arms (modern day civil war re-enactments) military tactics as well.

These are kids that are destined to be college graduates. History Majors. They are interested in the authentic point of few and would truly appreciate a chance to work with you guys on a project. If the timing would permit.

I know its a chance for some of you all to do some good building young minds for the future.

What say you all? Who's gota few horses to go riding in style in the area? Who'd like too?

PM me with you ideas, please. I'm always eagar for advice as to how to get it right. Always!

    John,
Are you looking for modern trail riding/sightseeing opportunities or riding at events in VA?

I PM'd you directly Tom. Let me know what you think about my idea.

I am looking to setup historical centric trailrides thoroughout the American Civil War era. Eastern, Western and Trans-Mississippi Theatehr regions with scenarios and points of interested mapped out and color coordinated. If you know what I mean.

I would like to do something similar in New York, Northern Virginia and South Carolina focused on Washington, Cornwallis and Banestre Tarleton.
