In my rummaging thru an old pile of harness, I found an origanal cav. halter. The leather is shot, but all the hardware is there. The reason I call it a cav. halter is that it has the "bolt". When I releather it , will it be incorrect for use in the CSA cavalry, or just Fed.? Thanks Paul L. Muller

Re: cavalry halters
The halter in question has been repaired twice that I can tell, you know the type "farmer repairs" lots of rivets. I don't know if I"d call it a cw halter, that same styule was ,I would imagian, made and used thru ww1. All I have know is the hardware. paul L. MullerSave me a place at the fire,
